Frida Khalo
Frida Khalo
was a Mexican artist, revolutionary for her time in art and in her lifestyle.
She was born on July 6, 1907 in Coyoacán, Mexico. During his life he suffered
so much. She suffered poliomyelitis that affected his right leg, and she broke
the spine and had to undergo many surgeries. Her work as an artist is very
admirable because she transformed her pain in art, and struggled against the
adversities of her life, becoming recognized in different parts of the world
along with other outstanding artists. She was a pioneer of Mexican art.
Her art was
also loaded with passion, which I believe is a brave quality for an artist ,
because she shows her feelings of all. Also admirable is his role as a feminist
and communist activist, rebelling against what society imposed with strength
and courage.
Frida has many paintings, but one of my
favorites is the self-portrait with a necklace of thorns and a hummingbird of 1933.
